Question: What does it mean to be a multi-channel retailer?

Answer: Put simply it is when you are able to serve and engage with your customers across all the customer facing touchpoints.

Answer: Put simply it is when you are able to serve and engage with your customers across all the customer facing touchpoints. These will typically be online, in store, over the phone. A truly multi-channel will be one that makes if really easy for their customer to get in touch with them, buy from them at their convenience and through their preferred channel. An e.g. scenario maybe Julia sees a pair of shoes online, goes in store to try them on but still can’t decide which colour to buy. That evening she decides on the red pair and buys them online to be delivered to her work address. A day after receiving the order she decides they are not for her, and is able or return them in store in her lunch-hour.
