IMRG, the industry association for UK e-retail, has appointed Practicology as an accredited training provider. The partnership will see Practicology offer professional training courses designed to give retail head office staff at all levels strategic insight and practical skills to help them do their own jobs better; and encourage better collaboration between different functions within their teams and businesses.

Multichannel and ecommerce consultancy Practicology will work with individual retail businesses to provide training to their staff. Retailers will be able to pick from a menu of training courses, or have bespoke multichannel training courses created to suit the needs of their businesses.

Courses at launch include a one-day introductory session to teach new members of staff (and those who are new to multichannel roles) about the elements of multichannel retailing beyond their own role to help them understand the part they play in the end-to-end multichannel customer experience. Other topics covered include mobile and tablet strategy and usability, copywriting for online and conversion rate optimisation.

Retailers who invest in these ecommerce and multichannel training courses for their staff will see a return based on performance improvements from those who attend as well as staff who are motivated through being developed in their roles. Individual trainees will also directly benefit from having attended courses that are accredited by a well-established and recognised industry association.

Practicology CEO Martin Newman said: “We are delighted to have partnered with IMRG on our training proposition. We recognised that there was a gap in the market for independently accredited training that can help those working in multichannel and ecommerce teams at all levels.

The courses are delivered by Practicology’s consultants – who have all worked in retail head offices – so we feel we are perfectly placed to deliver the right mixture of theory and practical advice, and can empathise with the real challenges attendees have in their roles and businesses.”

IMRG Managing Director Graeme Howe added: “IMRG is pleased to be partnering with Practicology to offer the industry market-leading training. Practicology’s experience and professionalism will ensure organisations will receive training which takes both their people and ultimately their businesses forward in an increasingly complex multichannel world.”
