Welcome to the Practicology Website. This document is a legal Agreement which describes the conditions of use applicable to your use of the Websites.

2. Provision of Content

2.1 The Content on the Websites is for general information only and does not constitute advice on any specific matter. Whilst Practicology makes every effort to ensure that the Content is accurate and up to date, no representation or warranty, express or implied, is made as to the accuracy or completeness of any Content.

2.2 Content which relates to the law and legal developments are based upon the laws of England and Wales unless otherwise stated.

2.3 You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using the Websites.

2.4 You must not use the Websites to send any e-mails for chain letters, commercial solicitation, mass mailing, or any other form of spam.

2.5 You may download and print one copy of the Content, provided that You retain all credits and copyright notices associated with the original of such Content.

2.6 Without prejudice to Paragraph 2.5 You may not reproduce, distribute, transmit or otherwise exploit the Content in any way. In particular, You may not include the Content in any other publication or on any other websites or computer network otherwise than in accordance with the limited reproduction permission set out at Paragraph 4 and/or the prior written permission of Practicology. In addition, You must abide with all other terms, conditions and restrictions contained in any other agreement associated with the Content.

3. Your Personal Information

3.1 If You wish to contact Practicology by email or request further information you will be required to submit Personal Information to Practicology.

3.2 The Personal Information you submit to Practicology will only be used by Practicology in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

3.3 You hereby undertake to notify Practicology in writing in the event of any change in your Personal Information.

3.4 Practicology will not collect sensitive personal information relating to your sex, health, racial or ethnic origin, political or religious beliefs without Your explicit consent.

4 Ownership of the Website and Copyright Notice

4.1 The Content and Websites are protected by UK and International copyright and are the copyright of Practicology unless otherwise stated. Reproduction of any of the Content and/or Website is prohibited other than in accordance with the limited reproduction permission set out in this Paragraph 4. All rights are reserved.

4.2 Except as expressly provided in this Agreement, You may not copy, reproduce, re­publish, lease, sub- licence, download, post, broadcast, transmit, modify, create works from, or in any way, commercially exploit any of the Content.

4.3 In particular but without limiting the generality of the above, you may not do any of the following without the prior written permission of Practicology:

4.3.1 redistribute any of the Content (including by using it as part of any library, archive or similar service);

4.3.2 remove the copyright notice from any copies of the Content;

4.3.3 create a database in electronic or manual form by systematically downloading and storing all or any of the Content; or

4.4 Requests to re-publish and/or re-distribute any Content should be addressed to Practicology as set out at Paragraph 1.

4.5 The names and logos of other companies referred to in the Website may be the trademarks of their respective owners. You may not use any trademark or logo appearing on the Website without the prior written consent of the owner of the relevant trademark or logo.

5 Liability and Warranty

5.1 Practicology warrants that it will use reasonable care and skill in preparing and presenting the Content. All other warranties express or implied, statutory or otherwise are hereby excluded to the extent permitted by law and in particular, Practicology does not warrant that the Website operates error and/or virus free or operates without interruption or is compatible with all equipment and software configurations.

5.2 Practicology hereby excludes to the extent permitted by law any and all liability for any loss or damage howsoever arising out of the use of the Websites or reliance upon the Content.

6 General

6.1 From time to time Practicology may include links to third party websites. Such links are provided for information only. Practicology does not accept responsibility for the content of any of the link websites and does not accept any duty of care in respect of and nor does it make any representation express or implied in relation to the accuracy or reliability of the content of any link website; nor does the existence of any link constitute any implied endorsement of any website, its sponsor, its products or its services nor should any views expressed on that website be taken to reflect the views of Practicology.

6.2 This Agreement (together with the Privacy Policy) contains the entire agreement and understanding between the parties relating to the subject matter of this Agreement, and (in relation to that subject matter) supersedes any and all prior agreements, arrangements, statements and understandings.

6.3 If any term or provision in this Agreement shall be held to be illegal or unenforceable, in whole or in part, under any enactment or rule of law, such term or provision or part shall to that extent be deemed not to form part of this Agreement but the validity and enforceability of the remainder of this Agreement shall not be affected.

6.4 Use of the Websites by You shall constitute Your acceptance of this Agreement.

6.5 This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

DATA PROTECTION

I understand that:

  • Practicology owns and operates a number of websites (“the Websites”) to provide various services to users
  • any information I provide to Practicology, during my use of the Websites, will be used by Practicology to provide me with a high quality of service
  • Practicology may contact me via email, telephone, post or any other communication media with details of Practicology’s services
  • Practicology will at all times capture and process my personal information in accordance with the requirements set out in Data Protection Act 1998

I authorise Practicology to release my name, address, email address, telephone number and any other information which Practicology feels in its entire discretion, may be relevant, if so required by law.

I accept the terms outlined above and confirm that I have read and understood the Privacy Policy and Conditions of Use.
